Opera Noir New York is not only a performance company (http://www.prlog.org/11996509-checks-unlimited-offer-code-50-off-coupon.html) but also a networking organization. It was founded by three African American opera singers who recognized the need for African American singers to be able to network with one another (http://www.prlog.org/11996370-green-smoke-coupon-code-latest-working-coupons.html) and to have resources to help them pursue a career in opera. Since the organization was created, they have had a number of performances and have entertained thousands of fans.
A few years ago I was fortunate enough to attend a New York gala featuring Opera Noir. Thanks to some discount airfare and a hotels.com discount code I was able to spend a few days in New York (http://www.prlog.org/11998277-tigerdirect-coupon-code-20-off.html) and I attended an event that was put on to honor the achievements of African American singers. 20 singers performed classical and romantic opera scenes from composers such as Mozart and Gershwin. The event was hosted by Emmy award winning actress Lynn Whitfield. It was a wonderful show and there were people of all ages in attendance from small children (http://www.prlog.org/11996518-bh-cosmetics-coupon-codes-save-30.html) to senior citizens. People in attendance said that the show brought tears to their eyes.
There was another show a few years ago that I was not able to attend but I have seen some video clips on YouTube and it was outstanding, I wish I could have been there. The event (http://www.prlog.org/11996524-lifelock-promo-code-20-off-coupon.html) was a legends tribute from back in December of 2007. More recently, there was a show at the New York Township Auditorium which was sold out. That show happened on January 28, 2011. At that show they performed opera scenes from four of the most famous composers including Puccini, Bizet, Mozart, and Verdi.
